Refill Ink for Pentel Pocket Brush

Postby sketchdaemon » Sat Feb 28, 2015 12:00 pm

I've bought a new Pentel Pocket Brush because the brush on my old one loss its point. I've been refilling the ink with Platinum Carbon Black. The ink works great and it never clogs/dries the brush like other inks after storage. The only problem is that it is too flow-y and makes it hard to draw with it. Kooh-i-noor works ok, a little flow-y still and there's a stench that's like sniffing strong glue. I've used Speedball Superblack but I think that clogged my brush before. So I was wondering if anyone knows of the an ink that has the same consistency/viscosity as the one that came with the pen and doesn't dry out the brush after storage.

Try Rotring drawing ink.. It is relatively thick and I suppose that it will not be so flowy ( but I haven't test it with pen brushes.. ). I use it for my Pilot pens too and doesn't dry or clog them.
