The forum has been saved!

Postby Russ » Tue Oct 11, 2011 4:45 am

As you can see, the forum has been saved from its path to oblivion which was caused by hacker attacks.

The hero is forum member gpathy who worked hard to update the forum software to a more current and safer version. gpathy is also officially one of the administrators (a.k.a. custodian) of the forum now (the other one being me). So please welcome our new administrator, um, custodian.

The forum now has a new fresh look, which I kinda like, although it may take a little time for us all to get familiar with the new arrangement.

A big THANK YOU to gpathy! Now we can all breathe a sigh of relief and get back to sketching and sharing our works and ideas with each other.

Reason: I forgot to make it an announcement when I first posted it. I do that kinda thing regularly.

Hi everyone.. yeah... feels so good to be back :)

I have learn t so much about sketching from Russ, especially this unique combination of pen, brush-pen, water-brush, watercolor in small format, so much so I have come to love this medium. I am sure a lot of others can share this.

But what I learn t yesterday from Russ was more superior. After running this forum for six years and passionately involved in it, he took the decision to disable it, because of potential malware trouble.

How he was able to simply 'let go' was something I was amazed about. Almost a deep philosophical lesson in the ephemeral nature of life and how we should not hesitate to loosen our clutching hands on this world :)

Its a privilege to be in this forum, and love to play any role to be of help.

:) :) WOW. GS - God bless you!

Thanks for doing this for all.

We are all indebted to you :)

WE LOVE THE NEW LOOK!

Although - I remember Russ mentioning somewhere that Green was his fav. color! Is that right Russ? :) The fact that he has accepted a forum he created - now in Blue - shows his nicer side - that you rightly observed!

I love it - the cool blue - A DEEP DEEP THANK YOU GS.

GS, I just spotted this thread, dhannyavad for rolling up your sleeves and sharing your other talents. The Forum has a collaborative spirit which is neat, and provides a special spot in the web community. Cheers

Yay, gpathy!!!! I love the way that you have set up
Our Forum. An extra bonus for me is that I can use
the Minimize size to look at most posts. Much easier
to deal with my eye problem.
Thank you, so much.
