:)

1. First you hit POST REPLY like you always do to post a post
2. Now you select text from the post of the other forum member you want to quote
3. You hit the button QUOTE
4. The selected text appears where your cursor was in your post - formatted with the author's name

hope this helps

hi Mike

Ignore my previous post these instructions are even simpler.

Here are the 3 steps. 1st step is the selection - which you do like you would in any word processor for selecting text - for eg when you want to copy. The "click-drag-select" are the 3 sub-steps to perform the selection process.

Steps 2 and 3 help you quote the selected text. Hope the pic helps!

Uhm...is there a reason you don't just click on the button titled "Quote" in the upper right of each msg?

Yes Larry that works if you want all of the message to be quoted. But for only selected text - then you can select first then hit the button and only the selected text should get quoted

Once you get the entire msg in the workspace it's easy to chop it up, delete portions, and quote just what you want, as I've just done with your msg here.
